AmaTur Romania is very much the most active being responsible for all the initiatives within the country; whilst for India the message is “Think out of the box”. Notably, 53 of the events in India will be organised in the city of Shahdol.
“We are close to celebrate the third edition of World Table Tennis Day. Lots of ideas are getting established, others are still new. We are really curious to see how you celebrate World Table Tennis Day and we reward special initiatives. We are aware of the need of materials in many places and that these awards just can be a drop in the ocean. Please keep in contact. As more as we know about your ideas and needs as better we can react!” World Table Tennis Day Newsletter
Organisers are encouraged to send videos of the day and participate in the Activity Card Challenge to win an ITTF training shirt.
Notably Butterfly will provide two equipment packages composed of six table tennis tables, nets, scorers, 80 beginner rackets and eight gross of balls. One package will be given to the national association or organisation hosting the most registered events and one package to the organizer of the best event overall.
Also iPong sponsors robots will be awarded for the most popular, universal, inclusive and creative events!
Furthermore, thanks to the Japanese Table Tennis Association, Sport for Tomorrow and Butterfly; a total of 1,200 dozen balls are waiting to be distributed as a “Special Jury Prize”.
Every initiative sending pictures and reports about their World Table Tennis Day project and having a representative in the forthcoming ITTF Annual General Meeting during the World Championships in Düsseldorf will be considered.
