Tristan Flore of France and Romania’s Bernadette Szocs won the respective Junior Boys’ Singles and Junior Girls’ Singles titles at the STRÖCK European Youth Championships, which concluded at the Werner Schlager Academy in Schwechat on Sunday 22nd July 2012.
Both are supported by the German manufacturer, Tibhar; a company that in Schwechat renewed a long standing agreement with the European Table Tennis Union (ETTU).
Stefano Bosi, the President of the European Table Tennis Union and Roland Berg, the Managing Director of Tibhar, signed a contract, renewing the agreement between the European Table Tennis Union and the German company in its role a ETTU Development Sponsor.
Special Thanks “Among many companies giving the European table tennis a strong support, I have to address special thanks to Tibhar, whose Managing Director Roland Berg, decided to prolong the development sponsorship for a further four years, until 2016”, said Stefano Bosi. “These are not easy times but Tibhar has kept its commitment unchanged and also improved the provision of table tennis goods which we’ll donate to those national associations strongly engaged in promotional actions.”
Also Positive An upbeat President and Roland Berg was also very positive. “Our relationship with the ETTU has been emphatic for a long time, we work together with enthusiasm in a true friendly spirit”, he said. “European table tennis has to work a lot to improve and strengthen young players from new countries; we’ll be very close to the ETTU in all its development activities, proud and happy to give a significant contribution to our sport.”
A successful agreement for the future of table tennis in Europe has undoubtedly been achieved.
