Racket testing, in order to make sure that no infringement of regulations has been made and everything is in perfect order, is now an accepted part of procedures at major events.

Players and all concerned are well acquainted with the steps required; following discussions with the relevant parties a successful system is now in place that has universal approval.

The proceedings are under the jurisdiction of the Referee and in order that matters are perfectly clear to all concerned, a set of directives has been issued by the International Table Tennis Federation.
