Ken Sleep (1947 - 2012)

It is with great sadness that the death of Ken Sleep is announced.

He died on Friday 17th August 2012; just nine prior to what would have been his 65th birthday, after a long battle with cancer.

Ken Sleep represented Australia at the 1967 World Championships and was non-playing captain of the Australian Men's Team at the 1982 Commonwealth and 1982 Asian Championships.

Also, he was non-playing captain of Australia's Women's Team at the 1983 World and Commonwealth Championships.

All his life, he made a major contribution to Australian table tennis.

Swaythling Club Member
A dedicated member of the Swaythling Club, he was the Butterfly agent in Australia from the early 1970s to the mid 1990s.

He is sadly missed; our condolences to his family.
