There are hundreds of books on chess tactics; logically it should be the same for table tennis.
It is the principle that is the thinking of Larry Hodges, a member of the United States Table Tennis Association Hall of Fame and National Coach.
He is the author of Table Tennis Tactics for Thinkers .
The book is the latest of several publications written by Larry Hodges, a full time coach in the United States and an ITTF certified coach.
Previous publications have been: Table Tennis: Steps to Success; Table Tennis Tales and Techniques; and Professional Table Tennis Coaches Handbook.
Furthermore, he writes a daily blog for tabletenniscoaching
“The book discusses tactics against different styles, grips, and surfaces, as well as tactical and strategic thinking”, explained Larry Hodges.
"Tactics isn't about finding complex strategies to defeat an opponent. Tactics is about sifting through all the zillions of possible tactics and finding a few simple ones that work”, is the start of the first chapter.
“The book then explores the tactical and strategic development needed to have the specific tactical tools needed in any given match”, added Larry Hodges explaining the necessities as a "tactical toolbox”.
Furthermore, the book has received high praise from notable names
