The Chinese National Anthem was sang in all four events of the table tennis circuit in the recently concluded Rio Olympic Games. It was once again a validation of the strength of China in the sport.
Yesterday, August 25th, the Chinese Olympic delegation in table tennis and other sports had their courtesy call to the President of China, Xi Jinping.
“It’s a great honor for me to meet President Xi,” Ma Long said. “I am so proud of being a member of the Chinese team. Many matches still await us. I have already been back to physical training. And I have to set a new goal in thought. We’ve got many attentions during Rio. Thanks to all the fans for the support!”
Ma Long secured two gold medals in the Rio Olympic Games, winning the Singles and Team events.
Aside from their meeting with the Chinese President, some members of the Chinese Team also hung out recently with the famous Chinese actress, Li Bingbing.
