The Seamaster Qatar 2016 ITTF World Tour Grand Finals concluded with Ma Long as the winner of the Men’s Singles event. It is the fifth time he has won the title.
Ma Long admitted that he went through a low period after the Rio Olympic Games. However, his condition in last week’s competition was certainly positive.

Last weekend, Ma Long overcame one of his fiercest competitions in the sport, Fan Zhendong. He sealed a 4-2 victory to seal the title (11-5, 11-4, 11-9, 7-11, 12-14, 11-9).
Ma Long has definitely accomplished a great deal this year. Winning in Rio de Janeiro meant that he held all the major titles the sport has to offer – Olympic Games gold medallist, World champion, World Team World Cup winner.
Additionally, he was voted ITTF Male Star Player.
“This year is indeed a very lucky year for me. I was able to play my level in several important competitions this year; 2016 is a very essential year in my professional career.” Ma Long
Ma Long is 28 years old and he is still at the peak of his career. He believes that he still has a long way to go. He is considered to be the strongest in the new Olympic cycle. He is the leader of the Chinese Team.
