It is an open invitation. Therefore not all nominations may be accepted. Furthermore only nominations submitted by bona fide national associations will be considered.
Selection will be based on geographical boundaries with an approximate equal division between Blue Badge, Blue Badge in Progress and White Badge Umpires.
National associations may nominate one International Umpire who has achieved Blue Badge status, or, alternatively, has attended a certified ITTF Advanced Umpire Training course and has passed the Advanced Rules Examination.
Additionally, one White Badge International Umpire who has been active internationally for at least two years but has not yet attended an Advanced Umpire Training Course may be nominated. Any nominee in this category should be one of your best newer umpires, capable of achieving Blue Badge status within two years.
If one of the umpires nominated is female, a national association may also nominate one extra umpire in the Blue Badge or Blue Badge in progress category; thus following the policy of encouraging female umpires
Full hospitality will be provided in a twin room from lunch on Sunday 28th May to breakfast on Tuesday 6th June.
Each umpire will receive a daily allowance per competition day, according to ITTF regulations.
