In the Junior Girls’ Team Lekeasha Johnson, Keshmika Sivnarain and Simeen Mookrey are once again in action; the new name being Pumza Makiva.
Similarly, in the Junior Boys’ Team, Zakeer Moosa, Ezile Ndwabasini and Cade Peters retain their places; the debutant is Prahlad Nair.
Meanwhile, in the Cadet Girls’ Team, Mushfiquh Kalam, only 14 years old, the youngest player on duty in the South African Team at the Sun International 2016 World Junior Championships is included for the Tunis visit. She partners newcomer Kiara Naidoo.
One new name in the Cadet Girls’ Team selection, for the Cadet Boys Team, it is two; Yukail Naidoo and Kivesh Sivnarain will fly the flag of South Africa,
According to Clement Meyer, South African Table Tennis Board Vice President responsible for coaching, the selection of the players was based on rigorous trials.
The trials were held at the Goodwood Sports Club in Cape Town from Thursday 9th to Saturday 11th March.
