The applause that greeted her performance attested to the love the fans had for her and she has now become a toast to Tunis fans.
Excited on playing in front of the home fans, Fadwa Garci said:
“It was a good experience playing in front of the home fans. Their support has been a big motivation for me whenever I am playing. This has continued to inspire me in all my matches and I hope I can continue to make them happy”, Fadwa Garci.
Like her compatriot, Fadwa Garci is indeed dreaming of achieving the feat of Safa Saidani, who represented Tunisia at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games in Brazil.
“I want to feature at the Olympic Games just like Safa Saidani because what she achieved has motivated us to continue to work hard. She has been an inspiration to a lot of us and we look up to her. I hope and dream that I can make it to the big stage like the Olympic Games like her,” Fadwa Garci said.
Fadwa Garci also admitted that her aim at the 2017 ITTF African Junior and Cadet Championships is to make Tunisia a medal winning country in Tunis.
“I hope I can win a medal in this tournament and with the support from the home fans I believe it is achievable”, Fadwa Garci.
Already listed alongside Safa Saidani for the Liebherr 2017 World Championships, an elated Fadwa Garci is indeed looking forward to an exciting experience in Düsseldorf next month.
“I can’t wait to get to Germany particularly watching some of the best players in the world at a big stage like the World Championships”, Fadwa Garci.
