Chen Junjian, Caleb Crowden and Steven Gow combined to emerge successful in Men’s Team Class 2-5; they finished ahead of the Fiji partnership of Iakoba Taubakoa and Jope Kikau with the Tuvalu outfit of Ioane Hawaii and Esekia Vaega in third place
Earlier, in the individual events, Chen Junjian had emerged the somewhat surprise winner of Class 2-3 with Stephen Gow in third place. Caleb Cowden had secured the Class 4-5 title with Iakoba Taubakoa in runners up spot; once again for the Fijian he had to settle for second place.
Second titles for Chen Junjian, Caleb Crowden; it was the same for Nathan Pellisier, the winner of Men’s Singles Class 8-9.
En route to gold, at the latter stages he had beaten colleague Barak Mizrachi before securing the title at the final expense of New Zealand’s Victor Kamizona; in the opposite half of draw, Barak Mizrachi had beaten Fiji’s John Christopher.
In Men’s Team Class 6-9, Nathan Pellisier joined forces with Barak Mizrachi to claim gold; once again Victor Kamizona had to settle for silver, whilst it was a second bronze medal for John Christopher.
Victor Kamizona partnered New Zealand compatriot, Matthew Britz; John Christopher allied with Tuvalu colleagues Wilson Pauu and Ione Vukinamualeva.
