Notably, students travelled from far and wide to attend the course which was well received by all; there was high praise for the efforts of Sydney Christophe and for the venue in which matters were conducted.
“Among the students were David and Gal Gmach, a father and son who travelled all the way from Florida. Also present was Lina Ye, Manager of Chinese Community Centre Flushing which will be hosting two ITTF Courses in August this year and Steven Kasha who came from Boston, Massachusetts. He wanted to take this course to assist in the development of the game in his area.” Sydney Christophe
Throughout the course there was a great deal of discussion and exchange of ideas; those facts underlining the enthusiasm displayed by the students and their willingness to learn
“They found many aspects useful, for example the balance between the theoretical and practical breakdown of the strokes and the multi-ball sessions. They offered a few suggestions on improving, like showing more videos and videoing the coaches in their presentations so that they can go back and learn from their mistakes.” Sydney Christophe
It is anticipated the coaches will soon join 285 United States coaches who have gained ITTF Level One Certificates and will become State Level Coaches.
