The World Championships continues to close in at a rapid pace and table tennis fans don’t have to wait long to witness the world’s finest stars in action with the tournament set to commence on Monday 29th May.

With around two weeks to go until the event gets underway, players are hard at work training to be at their best for the competition and that includes Switzerland’s Rachel Moret who is preparing for the trip to Germany with a positive mindset.

“I’m feeling good and looking forward to being in Düsseldorf. The preparation is going great!”, Rachel Moret.

Rachel Moret was born in the Swiss municipality of Mores in 1989, and has proven to be a highly important player for her country on the world table tennis scene.

The Liebherr 2013 World Championships in Paris proved a difficult campaign for Rachel Moret, who unfortunately failed to progress beyond the Preliminary Round of 64 stage of the Women’s Singles competition while at the Qoros 2015 World Championships the Swiss player did manage to reach the main draw but exited in the Round of 128.

However, despite her relatively short campaigns at Paris 2013 and Suzhou 2015, Moret heads into the upcoming Liebherr 2017 World Championships with some encouraging form on her side.

Moret captured the Women’s Singles crown at the 2017 Swiss National Championships in March and the 27-year-old is hoping for a positive outing in Düsseldorf, setting the goal of achieving a personal best finish at the individuals World Championships.

“I have had a few health problems in 2017 so my results were’t always as good as expected. Actually, I’m feeling much better now and I’m practicing really well. I will be ready for the World Championships. I would like to pass the qualification rounds and try to pass one more round after that!”, Rachel Moret.
