Cristian Pletea heads into the competition having previously enjoyed success in the category at the 2017 Tunisia Junior and Cadet Open.
Victory over Tunisian opponent Omar Ammous saw Cristian Pletea claim the Junior Boys’ Singles crown in Rades, and the Romanian representative will be hoping to add another trophy to his collection come the conclusion of play in Wladyslawowo.
Alongside his Junior Boys’ Singles triumph in Rades, Cristian Pletea also lifted the Junior Boys’ Doubles prize at the 2017 Tunisia Junior and Cadet Open with fellow Romanian contestant Rares Sipos.
Seeded second for the Junior Boys’ Singles event at the 2017 Polish Junior and Cadet Open, Rares Sipos will aim to put a dent in Cristian Pletea’s title ambitions in Wladyslawowo and there are plenty of other players heading to Poland who will looking to achieve a similar goal.
France has four of its representatives automatically through to the main draw due to the seeding list, with each player standing a decent shot in the fight for silverware.
Leading the way for the country is third seed Irvin Bertrand, with Jules Rolland and Remi Menand seeded 11th and 12th respectively.
Bastien Rembert, who emerged successful at the 2017 French Junior and Cadet Open, has been placed in 14th position for the Junior Boys’ Singles tournament.
Another player worth keeping a close eye on throughout the course of the 2017 Polish Junior and Cadet Open is Russia’s Artur Abusev.
Crowned Junior Boys’ Singles winner at the 2017 Spanish Junior and Cadet Open in Platja d’Aro, Artur Abusev heads to Wladyslawowo with confidence on his side and the sixth seed will be looking to make it back-to-back successes on the 2017 ITTF World Junior Circuit.
The 2017 Polish Junior and Cadet Open gets underway on Wednesday 22nd May before drawing to a conclusion on Sunday 28th May.
