It will be a hectic week; some no doubt still making last minute travel plans; however there is no doubt the Helsingborg is ready.
Certainly, Petra Sörling, President of the Swedish Table Tennis Association and Anders Karlsson, the Project Manager of the 2017 European Veteran Championships are most confident that the city located on the country’s west coast will deliver the goods.
“With more than 2000 participants from all over Europe competing in a Veteran Championships you have definitive proof that table tennis is a sport for everyone and for your whole life. Few cities or even countries can arrange this kind of gigantic tournament. In Helsingborg we have both the competence and the facilities.” Petra Sörling
“After several years of preparation, we are now finally here and we are ready to greet all our guests. We have experience organising tournaments and events here in Helsingborg. The challenge with this kind of event is of course the number of participants but we feel confident it will be a great tournament and experience for everyone both in the arena but also in our beautiful city.” Anders Karlsson
Entry is free of charge; the general public is most welcome to visit an event which underlines the quite unique nature of table tennis; very much the sport for all to enjoy.
