Leading the entry list for the Junior Boys’ Singles competition is Romania’s Cristian Pletea, who is hoping to enjoy a strong campaign in England by lifting the trophy.
However, the Romanian star could face a difficult campaign ahead with Greek player Ioannis Sgouropoulos entering the tournament off the back of winning the Junior Boys’ Singles title at the Stag 2017 European Championships.
Rares Sipos and Irvin Bertrand, who represent Romania and France respectively, are the next names on the list while the host nation’s Tom Jarvis will be hoping to do the home fans proud.
Ning Jing made a big statement recently by becoming Azerbaijan’s first gold medallist at the European Youth Championships following her Junior Girls’ Singles success in the Portuguese city of Guimarães.
Now the Azerbaijan contestant turns her attention to the upcoming European Youth Top 10 competition where she will aim to reach the top step of the podium, but Ning Jing is only the second name on the list as Adina Diaconu of Romania leads the category’s seeding table.
Another player who is worth keeping a close eye on is Russia’s Mariia Tailakova who is hoping to build upon her positive display at the European Youth Championships, where she received a bronze medal in the Junior Girls’ Singles competition.
Topping the Cadet Boys’ Singles entry list for the Europe Youth Top 10 event is the ever impressive Vladimir Sidorenko, but the Russian competitor will have to be at his best in Worcester with the likes of Sweden’s Truls Moregard and France’s Bilal Hamache participating in the tournament.
The top two positions in the Cadet Girls’ Singles category belong to Russian representatives with Elizabet Abraamian and Ekaterina Zironova leading the way while Moldova’s Natalia Brinza, who impressed at the European Youth Championships, will also make the trip to England.
