Jun Mizutani and Kasumi Ishikawa will both be making a cameo appearance in the upcoming movie Mix.

The film centres around Tamako Tomita, played by Yui Aragaki. When Tamako is dumped by her boyfriend, she heads back home and to her mother’s table tennis club. There she meets Hisashi Hagiwara, played by Eita, whose wife recently left him. Upon learning of her ex-boyfriend competing in a mixed doubles tournament, Tomako partners Hisashi in the contest with hopes of getting revenge over her old flame.

It’s a rom-com for the table tennis fan.

Mizutani and Ishikawa will both make a short appearance in the film. The players hope Mix is a box-office success and that it will draw more people to the sport.

The film will be coming to Japanese theatres October 21st, 2017.
