Venue for the proceedings will be the Gripe Sports Centre with six tables being used for the main event and a further five available for practice.
It is anticipated that practice on the competition tables will be available from 3.00pm on Thursday 2nd November.
The event is open to players born in 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2003 who are members of European National Olympic Committees and meet the requirements of International Olympic Committee and the regulations of the International Table Tennis Federation.
Following the conclusion of play, a total of four boys and four girls will qualify for the Buenos Aires 2018 Youth Olympic Games; a National Olympic Committee may enter a maximum of one boy and one girl for Youth Olympic Games Continental Qualification Tournament.
Play will be organised in three stages in each of the Boys’ Singles and Girls’ Singles events; on Friday 3rd November, matches will be organised on a group basis followed by a knock-out event on Saturday 4th November from which two boys and two girls will qualify. On Sunday 5th November, a further knock-out competition will be staged from which a further two boys and two girls will gain places in Buenos Aires.
All matches will be best of seven games.
The closing date for entries is Thursday 5th October; the draw for the first stage will be held on Thursday 2nd November at the Gripe Sports Centre.
