Omar Assar met Alexander Shibaev in the second Group C contest, the engagement produced a stunning point in the second game.
Taking an aggressive approach from the early stages of the point Alexander Shibaev appeared to have the upper hand and the Russian attempted to catch his Egyptian opponent off guard with a stylish forehand hit down the line.
However, a superb return kept Omar Assar in the rally and eventually it was the African star who finished the point on top with a terrific cross court forehand which Shibaev proved unable to return.
