TTC Berlin Eastside returned to winning ways on the continent with a fine home outing against French opponents TT Saint Quentinois.

Georgina Pota was very much the standout player for the hosts claiming victories over Aurore Le Mansec (11-8, 11-5, 12-10) and Britt Eerland (11-8, 13-15, 8-11, 11-6, 11-7), helping the German side secure top spot in Group D.

Another French team which was also involved in away action was CP Lyssois Lille Metropole with top seeds KTS Tarnobrzeg providing the opposition in the fifth round of Group A fixtures.

The Polish club made a strong start to the tie through German star Han Ying, who negotiated her encounter against Maria Xiao with ease (11-5, 11-9, 11-4) before subsequent victories for Viktoria Pavlovich and Li Qian over Agnes Le Lannic (13-11, 11-8, 11-9) and Tamolwan Khetkhuan (11-6, 11-1, 11-4) sealed the win.

Bursa Buyuksehir Belediyespor registered its fourth consecutive victory in Group B, claiming a solid 3-1 win over Spanish visitors UCAM Cartagena.

Despite suffering an early setback at the start of the match with Lee Ho Ching’s narrow defeat to Matilda Ekholm (11-5, 11-2, 6-11, 9-11, 8-11), the Turkish giants responded well as Yana Noskova and Hu Melek earned victories against Wang Zhipei (11-8, 11-6, 11-8) and Sara Ramirez (11-9, 11-5, 11-5) to put the home side in front.

Lee Ho Ching returned to the table for a second time in the match, but this time the Bursa Buyuksehir Belediyespor player came away with a positive result, defeating Wang Zhipei across five games (12-10, 11-4, 9-11, 9-11, 14-12).

Group C also hosted action as Dr. Casl eased to a comfortable win at home to Hungarian club Szekszard AC.

Early successes for Li Jie and Zhou Xintong, achieved against Leila Imre (12-10, 11-2, 11-1) and Dora Madarasz (11-6, 11-5, 11-5), handed the Croatian team a commanding lead which was soon converted into a victory as Fu Yu overcame Denise Payet (11-7, 11-4, 11-2) to earn Dr. Casl its eighth group point.
