Quadri Aruna of Nigeria, who enjoyed a fantastic outing on the international scene in 2017, is one of two male players who have signed up to compete in the second season of Ultimate Table Tennis with Ukraine’s Kou Lei also returning.
Sofia Polcanova and Sabine Winter of Austria and Germany respectively are the two female competitors who will appear at the tournament for the second year running and Ultimate Table Tennis Co-Owner Mr. Niraj Bajaj is delighted to see the four stars commit to another season in front of the Indian fans.
“We are extremely glad to have signed Quadri Aruna, Kou Lei, Sofia Polcanova and Sabine Winter for another edition and look forward to welcoming the new players to India for the second season. CEAT UTT received a great response and we are already seeing a lot of excitement among players to come and play this season. We have already signed players from the world top 50 and want to make this a great learning platform for the Indian players who play alongside these top foreign athletes.” Niraj Bajaj
Alongside the returning names, three new players have signed up to compete in the second edition of the competition with Spain’s Alvaro Robles joining Swedish and Hungarian competitors Matilda Ekholm and Georgina Pota as new additions to Ultimate Table Tennis.
President of the Table Tennis Federation of India Mr. Dushyant Chautala is hoping to see more big-name stars added to the player roster and believes that the event further enhances the progression of table tennis in India.
“We have received very positive feedback from the players and Table Tennis Federations on the success of the inaugural season and we look forward to host more world class players this year.
