Many of the world’s finest table tennis stars travelled to London in late February looking to achieve international greatness and, as anticipated, there were plenty of breath-taking rallies played out at the Copper Box Arena.
England’s very own Liam Pitchford features twice in the list, demonstrating brilliance both at and away from the table in front of the home crowd.
Impressive individually, Koki Niwa’s defensive skills acted as a brick wall against Ma Long in the Men’s Team final, forcing the reigning World Champion to pull a couple of dropshots out of the locker and Niwa was just as majestic partnering Jin Ueda to great effect.
Mima Ito shows us how an inside-out forehand is done, while Fan Zhendong and Tomokazu Harimoto give a masterclass in attack.
