Oceania’s junior elite have descended on Rarotonga, Cook Islands for the 2018 ITTF-Oceania Junior Championships and will compete from 1-2 June.
There is a lot at stake.
The Junior Team Event is the pathway to the 2018 ITTF World Junior Championships, with the winners securing their ticket to the event. They won’t have far to travel with the championships taking place in Bendigo, Australia in December.
In the Cadet Singles, the athletes will be playing for a spot in Team Oceania. The squad will head to Tottori, Japan in October for the ITTF World Cadet Challenge. Meanwhile, in the Junior Singles, a AU$1,500scholarship will be awarded to the winners, to go along with the title.
