Su Pei-Ling emerged the backbone of the success, remaining unbeaten throughout the whole event; in the final she accounted for Yu Hsiu-Ting in the second match of the fixture (11-4, 11-8, 11-7), before in the fifth and deciding contest overcoming Cai Fong-En (6-11, 11-9, 11-7, 11-9).

The one further win for the champions elect was secured by Chen Ting-Ting; in the fourth match of the engagement, she overcame Yu Hsiu-Ting (11-4, 14-12, 14-12), after their adversaries had established a two matches to one lead. In the opening contest, Cai Fong-En had beaten Chen Ting-Ting (11-4, 11-3, 11-3), before in the third match, Chien Tung-Chuan had overcome Wen Ruei-Ling (11-5, 7-11, 11-4, 11-8).

Earlier, a direct entry to the semi-finals, Chen Ting-Ting, Su Pei-Ling and Wen Ruei-Ling had secured a three-one success against compatriots Fang Sih-Han, Tsai Yu-Chin and Chen Peng-Yu in action for Chinese Taipei ‘C’, the no.6 seeds; the one success for the defeated being recorded by Fang Sih-Han who beat Chen Ting-Ting (11-6, 11-5, 11-7) in the opening match of the fixture.

Meanwhile, in the opposite half of the draw; at the quarter-final stage Cai Fong-En, Chien Tung-Chuan and Yu Hsiu-Ting had beaten Singapore’s Goi Rui Xuan, Eunice Lim and Wong Xin Ru, the no.5 seeds, by three matches to one, prior to recording a three-nil win in opposition to Hong Kong’s Chau Wing Sze, Lee Ka Yee and Wong Chin-Yau, the no.2 seeds. The one winner for Singapore was Goi Rui Xuan, in the second match of the fixture, she accounted for Cai Fong-En (11-9, 11-6, 6-11, 11-6).

Play in the Junior Girls’ Team event concluded, attention now turns to the individual competitions.
