So far, so good for Germany’s two representatives at the Liebherr 2018 Men’s ITTF World Cup in Disneyland Paris, who have both made it to this evening’s quarter-finals.
Last year’s champion, Dimitrij Ovtcharov eventually saw off Sweden’s Mattias Falck in a hard-fought win played over seven games (11-5, 4-11, 7-11, 13-11, 11-3, 5-11, 12-10).
Then, his compatriot and two-time World Cup winner, Timo Boll, showed he means business this year by overpowering Frenchman, Emmanuel Lebesson (11-8, 8-11, 11-8, 11-5, 11-7).
