Three more members have joined the ITTF Athletes Commission as the group approaches its final composition to last the next four years.
Chosen by the ITTF Executive Committee were Sarah Hanffou (representing Africa), Matthew Hetherington (Oceania) and Jasna Rather (North America) following the appointments earlier in October of two Para-Athletes, Alena Kanova (Europe) and Trevor Hirth (Oceania).
The above have joined Interim Chair, Ryu Seungmin (Asia) and those athletes already elected in May at the World TT Championships in Halmstad: Jean-Michel Saive (Europe), Galia Dvorak (Europe), Marcos Madrid (Latin America), Wang Liqin (Asia) and Zoran Primorac (Europe).
The appointments were made taking into consideration the criteria for ensuring a fair balance in terms of continents and gender equity.
Two more athletes will join the ITTF Athletes Commission for a total of 13 members ahead of their meeting on 12 December, which will see them elect one Chair and two Deputy Chairs.
