It is an open invitation. Therefore not all submissions may be accepted. Furthermore only nominations returned by bona fide national associations will be considered.
Full hospitality will be provided in a twin or triple room from dinner on Sunday 14th April to breakfast on Saturday 20th April. Each umpire will receive a daily allowance according to ITTF regulations. The hotel is 300 metres distant from the venue.
Invited umpires must organize their own transport to Spa as well as travel and medical insurance; local transport will be organised from Brussels South Charleroi Airport (IATA Code: CRL) and from Verviers Railway Station. Additionally, transport will be arranged from Metz to Spa for those umpires officiating at the French Junior and Cadet Open.
All invited umpires are responsible for early arrival and late departure.
Should a nominated umpire require a visa, kindly send relevant details when submitting the nomination (full name as in passport, date of birth, place of birth, passport number, expiry date of passport). A letter of invitation will be provided. Please note that all costs associated with the visa application are the responsibility of the applicant and the issuance of a visa is at the sole discretion of the relevant Consulate or Embassy.
Umpires must wear the international umpiring uniforms as described in the Handbook for Match Officials and are required to attend a meeting with the Referee at 7.30 pm on Sunday 14th April.
Umpire evaluations will be conducted.
The closing date for nominations is Thursday 7th February; the names of selected umpires will be announced soon after that date.
