An established name at the top-end of the sport Feng Tianwei has collected silverware at some of the most prestigious events including the World Championships: Women’s Doubles bronze medallist on three occasions Feng Tianwei has also enjoyed success on the World Team Championships stage, leading Singapore to a famous gold medal win in 2010!
Feng Tianwei also possesses three medals from the Olympic Games, six golds from the Commonwealth Games, nine ITTF World Tour singles titles and the 2010 ITTF World Tour Grand Finals Women’s Singles trophy.
Q) Who inspired you to take up table tennis?
A) My mum led me to my table tennis career.
Q) What is the sport’s main attraction to you?
A) What attracts me most about table tennis is the game plan that the two players use during the match.
Q) Who is your favourite athlete?
A) My favourite athlete is Roger Federer.
Q) What is your favourite place in the whole wide world?
A) My favourite place in the world is… my bed!
Q) Is there any tournament success that stands out to you from your career?
A) The unforgettable tournament for me was the 2010 World Team Championships where I beat two top Chinese players and won the gold medal with Singapore!
Q) Have you ever been to Budapest?
A) I have been to Budapest several times, but each time was for competition purposes. I went to Halaszbastya and it is a very nice place.
Q) What do you know about the Hungarians?
A) I think Hungarians are always very enthusiastic.
Q) What would you say to fans thinking of attending the World Championships?
A) I hope fans can come to the site and experience the feast of Table Tennis!
