Overall, a total of 12 National Olympic Committees will be represented in each of the men’s team and women’s team events; in the men’s singles as in the women’s singles event there will be a maximum of 52 players, for the mixed doubles it is 15 pairs. Furthermore, a National Olympic Committee is limited to one men’s team and one women’s team, one mixed doubles pair and two players in each of the men’s singles and women’s singles events.
Throughout the whole Games involving 15 sports, commencing on Friday 21st June and concluding on Sunday 30th June, the current total number of seats is 381,000, the possibility being to increase to 535,000 depending on the demand and popularity of an individual sport. The total number of sessions for which tickets will be sold is 120 in number.
Several categories of tickets have been developed: Standard, VIP, Opening Ceremony and Closing Ceremony. The cost of tickets for the table tennis competitions is from 10 Belarus rubles (US$ 5.00) to 40 Belarus rubles US$ 20.00).
Notably, in March, the sale of tickets for people with additional needs started. It is planned to sell about 3,000 tickets for such designated places. Notably, the Directorate has planned several categories of seats for people with disabilities. Moreover, the price of tickets for people with additional needs will be 10 per cent of the nominal value.
Applications to purchase tickets for those with additional needs is to register on Ticket Pro advising personal information and sports events of interest; within 48 hours the applicant will be contacted by mobile phone or email.
Residents of any country in the world may apply for tickets; a ticket automatically becomes a visa to enter Belarus.
