Wild Card applications open for Hopes Week and Challenge

The Hopes season is underway! Currently players are gearing up to qualify through their continental events but there is another option.

Three players per gender will have an opportunity to grab a spot at the 2019 ITTF World Hopes Week and Challenge in Salalah, Oman from Thursday 25th to Wednesday 31st July 2019 through “Wild Card” allocations.

Applications are now open, in order to qualify, national associations are required to present their Hopes activities in detail; it is on the information received that the “Wild Card” nominations will be judged.

Following the Continental Hopes weeks, three boys and three girls from each of Asia and Europe, two boys and two girls from each of Africa and Latin America, as well as one boy and one girl from each of North America and Oceania will be invited to Salalah. One place per gender will be reserved for the host nation.

The “Wild Card” nominations will complete the full list of 16 boys and 16 girls.
