The ITTF Executive Committee was happy to give the LOC a thumbs up for its preparation in helping create a closed-loop system for athletes keeping their safety at the forefront of what is expected to be thrilling competition.
“Being able to safely bring athletes to China to compete in a high-level sporting event was the main focus of the LOC. Now that the athletes are here safely, we can focus on executing the best well-run event to showcase the world’s best Table Tennis Teams. For the first time since Beijing 2022 athletes are coming from abroad to China, now we cannot wait to see what they do over the next 10 days.” – Liu Guoliang, Executive Vice President of the ITTF, and President of CTTA
