The International Table Tennis Federation released its 2021 Annual Report ahead of its upcoming Annual General Meeting at the ITTF Summit taking place in Amman, Jordan.

Navigating the still ongoing COVID-19 pandemic proved challenging for the ITTF, but also an opportunity to broaden horizons and begin implementing new strategic goals. The report details the 2021 World Championships Finals in Houston, Texas, the ITTF World Youth Championships in Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal, and the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The report details the launch of World Table Tennis, a major milestone for the ITTF and the start of a new commercial era for the state of table tennis. It also highlights the key initiatives of the ITTF Foundation, which focused on a health-centred approach in 2021.

A clear financial picture for the federation in 2021 shows how despite the challenges facing the sporting landscape that WTT has helped spring the ITTF into a new era that will ideally lead to future growth opportunities.

Updates on the high-performance department, member relations, and the human resources department showed the progress the ITTF is making in good governance, safety and trust in our employees, and how athletes are navigating the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
