After a highly successful Rising Stars Training Camp in Halmstad (SWE) in June, ITTF High Performance has invited selected players to participate in the next instalment of this year’s training camp series in Bangkok (THA). The Sports Development Super Camp will target athletes supported through the High Performance and Development programs.

Hosted by the Table Tennis Association of Thailand, the Fashion Island hall will host up to 32 players for 5 days of intensive training. The Head Coaches on duty will be Mr Joo Se Hyuk from Korea Republic, former Olympic Team silver medalist and former silver medalist at the World Table Tennis Championships, and Ms Mamata Prabhu from India, who is a former participant in the ITTF’s “My Gender. My Strength.” program, supported by local coach Mr Liu Yong.

With the camp’s main focus on providing high-level training opportunities to With The Future In Mind scholarship and Continental Youth Grant holders, additional spots will be made available to ten Asian athletes who can apply to participate through a Wild Card process released today.

Held in conjunction with the WTT Youth Contenders Bangkok (THA) and Vientiane (LAO), participants are encouraged to maximize opportunities by attending the training camp and both Youth Contender events.

Member Associations of the selected players have been informed, with the deadline for entry set to 26 July. Member Associations are reminded that entry to the WTT events must be done separately through the WTT Online Entry System.
