The 34th ITTF-ATTU Asian Cup in Shenzhen’s Universiade Centre saw an electrifying first day of competition. Sun Yingsha (CHN) opened the tournament with a commanding 3-0 victory over Chien Tung-Chuan (TPE), while Wang Yidi (CHN) secured a 3-1 win against Kim Nayeong (KOR). A standout moment came from Alkhadrawi Ali (KSA), who clinched a dramatic 3-2 win against Shinozuka Hiroto (JPN).

Today’s matches are already building on yesterday’s intensity, with players from across Asia continuing to showcase their remarkable skills. The tournament’s expanded format, now featuring 32 participants in both men’s and women’s categories, promises even more thrilling encounters as the competition progresses.

In the Pan American Cup at Burlingame’s 888 Table Tennis Centre, preliminary rounds produced electrifying matches. Jishan Liang (USA) and Leonardo Iizuka (BRA) dominated with confident 3-0 victories, while the women’s competition saw Irene Yeoh (USA) delivering a commanding performance with a 3-0 win against Natalie Dong.
